Metaxa 5 Star Greek Brandy

Metaxa 5 Star is the iconic Greek spirit from the house of Metaxa — a unique blend of aged wine distillates, Muscat wines from the Aegean islands, and a secret botanical blend that has remained unchanged since Spyros Metaxa first crafted it in 1888. Neither quite a brandy nor a liqueur, Metaxa occupies a category entirely its own: smooth, aromatic, and unmistakably Greek.

The 5 Star expression is aged for a minimum of five years in handcrafted Limousin oak casks, developing a warm amber colour and a beautifully layered character. The nose opens with dried fruit, rose petals, and a hint of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it's rich and velvety — notes of raisin, vanilla, and gentle spice — with a long, warming finish that lingers pleasantly.

Exceptional neat or over ice, and a classic base for the Metaxa Sour or a simple long drink with ginger ale.
