Shichihonyari Junmai-shu “Kinowa” is a traditional sake from one of Japan’s oldest breweries, founded in 1532 in Shiga Prefecture near Lake Biwa. Brewed in a robust, earthy Junmai style, Kinowa highlights pure rice character, gentle umami and bright acidity. Expect subtle notes of steamed rice, chestnut, grain and soft herbal tones, finishing clean, dry and beautifully balanced.
Versatile and exceptionally food-friendly, Kinowa pairs perfectly with sushi, yakitori, grilled fish, tempura, vegetables and richly seasoned Japanese dishes. Enjoy it slightly chilled for clarity or gently warmed for enhanced umami. Shichihonyari Junmai-shu Kinowa is an authentic expression of Shiga’s brewing heritage — simple, honest and quietly elegant.
