Ararat

Ararat brandy is made by the Yerevan Brandy Company, founded in 1887 when the merchant Nerses Tairyan set up a distillery in Yerevan. Since 1998 the company has been part of Pernod Ricard. The brand is named after the mountain that looks out over the city.

The range climbs by age: Five Star (5 years), Ani (7 years), Akhtamar (10 years) and Nairi (20 years), each richer and rounder than the last.

Ararat also makes brandy liqueurs, and we stock two: one infused with coffee and one with apricot, a fruit closely tied to Armenia.
