Oproer

Oproer is an Utrecht brewery started by two local brewers: Mark Strooker of Brouwerij Rooie Dop and Bart-Jan Hoeijmakers of RUIG. In January 2016 they opened Oproer together as a brewpub in the CAB building, inspired by American brewpubs.

When a fire destroyed that café in January 2021, Utrecht beer lovers raised €375,000 in under two months to help build a new one in Overvecht. The brewery itself stands on the Westkanaaldijk.

We stock a wide slice of the range: Utrechts Pils, Kartoffel Helles, Punkbock and Hippie Bock, the 24/7 Session IPA, Uncut IPA, Cosmic 2.0 and Refuse/Resist, plus Blonde Enigma and Tripel For The Crowd.
