Sakurao Brewery & Distillery

Sakurao Brewery & Distillery was founded in 1918 in Sakurao, Hatsukaichi, in Hiroshima Prefecture. It began under Chugoku Jozo, making brewing alcohol for sake, and opened the Sakurao Distillery to mark its 100th anniversary.

Its whisky brand Togouchi is named after the Togouchi Tunnel, a former railway tunnel in the mountains where the whisky rests in cool, stable conditions. We stock Togouchi Premium, Kiwami and the Peated Single Malt, plus finishes in sake, beer and rum casks.

The distillery also makes Sakurao Classic Japanese Gin.
