The Dalmore

The Dalmore stands on the banks of the Cromarty Firth at Alness, about 20 miles north of Inverness. Alexander Matheson founded it in 1839, and in 1867 the Mackenzie family bought it and brought the 12-pointed Royal Stag that still sits on every bottle.

The Dalmore matures its Highland single malt in American white oak bourbon casks and in sherry casks from González Byass, which gives the house its rich, fruity style.
