Milroy's Heavily Peated - Cask Strength

The cask strength expression of Milroy's Heavily Peated series, this 2021 vintage Lowlands single malt is matured in a combination of 40% new oak and 60% first-fill ex-Kentucky bourbon casks. Bottled at natural cask strength without chill filtration, it delivers an uncompromising and full-throttle peated dram.

The nose is bold and complex — waves of bonfire smoke, charred oak, and vanilla lead into sweet barley, dried citrus peel, and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, the high strength amplifies the peat intensity, with layers of smoked meat, toasted coconut, cracked pepper, and a rich bourbon sweetness. The finish is exceptionally long, warming, and persistently smoky with a dry, oaky grip.

Bottled at 61.1% ABV — add a few drops of water to open it up further.
