The Angel’s Old Fashioned

A silky, port-kissed version of the classic Old Fashioned.

Ingredients

60 ml Angel’s Envy Bourbon Port Cask

1–2 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters

1 barspoon Simple syrup (or a sugar cube)

Ice

Garnish: Luxardo Maraschino cherry + orange twist

Method

In a mixing glass, add bourbon, bitters and simple syrup (or muddled sugar cube).

Add plenty of ice and stir for 15–20 seconds until chilled and well-diluted.

Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.

Express an orange peel over the glass and drop it in.

Finish with a Luxardo cherry for a rich, velvety touch.
