Rossi D’Angera Altana Del Borgo 1993

Rossi D’Angera Altana del Borgo 1993 is a superb millesimato grappa produced from 100% Moscato d’Asti vinaccia, distilled with steam in a discontinuous copper alembic and then aged for an extraordinary 30 years in French oak barrels. 
The colour presents as deep amber with mahogany reflections. On the nose, expect warm aromatic richness—notes of toasted almonds and hazelnut, prunes, chestnut honey, and a faint whisper of wax and vintage tobacco. The palate is luxurious and full‑bodied: soft apricot, dried fig, orange zest, wild mint, underpinned by elegant wood spice and smooth persistence.

A grappa built for contemplative sipping, ideally served in a balloon glass at ~18 °C.
