Japanese gin is built on botanicals you will not find anywhere else: yuzu, sansho pepper, sakura, hinoki wood and gyokuro green tea. Distillers often draw on local rice spirit or sake know-how, which gives these gins a delicate, layered character.

We stock Ki No Bi Kyoto Dry Gin, made with Kyoto botanicals and rice spirit; Sakurao Classic from Hiroshima; and Nozawa Onsen's Classic Dry and Iwai Sansho Pepper gins from the mountains of Nagano. Try them in a highball with good soda and a slice of citrus, or in a Martini where the botanicals can really shine.
