Koueigiku

Koueigiku is a sake brewery in Ogi, Saga Prefecture, between the Chikushi mountains and the Ariake Sea. A new team brought the historic wooden brewery back to life in 2019, about twenty years after it had closed, and released its first sake in 2020 under toji Katsuaki Yamamoto.

Koueigiku keeps its sake cold from brewing to bottling, sees acidity as a strength, and leaves technical details off the label. Its motto is "a drink that makes your heart flutter". We stock Sukai, Mikumo, brewed with Miyama Nishiki rice, and the sparkling Snow Crescent.
