Chartreuse V.E.P. Yellow — Exceptionally Prolonged Aging
First produced in 1963, Chartreuse V.E.P. (Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé) Yellow is one of the world's most rare and refined liqueurs — crafted each year in strictly limited quantities by the Carthusian monks of the Grande Chartreuse monastery in the French Alps.
Made using the same secret recipe as Chartreuse Jaune — a blend of 130 hand-selected alpine plants — the V.E.P. Yellow undergoes an extended maturation in oak demi-muids. Over time, it develops aromas of extraordinary complexity: honeyed botanicals, delicate spice, and a long, velvety finish.
The bottle itself is a faithful reproduction of the one used in 1840, sealed with a cork stopper and back label secured in wax. Each bottle is individually numbered and presented in a wooden box branded with the symbol of the Carthusian Order.
