Produced at the esteemed White Oak Distillery in Akashi—just outside the city of Kōbe, famed for its namesake beef—Meïsei is helping to put this coastal town on the global whisky map.
Composed of 45% single malt, the blend is matured in American oak casks, lending the whisky its warm amber hue and rich, expressive character. On the nose, you’ll find inviting notes of oak, gentle smoke, and soft vanilla. The palate unfolds with subtle hints of cherry, honey, and wood spice—echoes of bourbon that add depth without overwhelming the delicate balance.
