Planteray Sealander — Three Oceans in One Bottle

Planteray Sealander is a bold and adventurous blend of rums from Barbados, Mauritius, and Fiji, artfully combined by Maison Ferrand’s master blender Alexandre Gabriel. Each island contributes something unique — molasses rums from Barbados and Fiji and a sugar cane juice rum from Mauritius — creating a spirit that captures three oceans in one bottle.

After several years of tropical ageing in ex-bourbon barrels, the blend is shipped to France for a final continental maturation of one year in ex-Ferrand cognac casks. The result is a refined, amber-coloured rum with inviting aromas of pear, quince jelly, spice, vanilla fudge, and subtle smoke.

On the palate, it is rich yet balanced — with layers of cinnamon, tonka beans, honeyed toffee, coconut, and prune, finishing long with cooked apple, dried banana, and delicate hints of bitter almond and oak spice. A dessert-like character with surprising structure.
