Planteray

Planteray is the rum range of Maison Ferrand, the house founded by Alexandre Gabriel, and was launched in 1997 under the name Plantation. The new name, on bottles from January 2024, joins "plant", for the sugar cane, with "ray", for the sun.

Maison Ferrand has sourced rum from the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados since the early 2000s and has owned it since 2017. Planteray blends and ages rum from several origins, and the bottles say where it comes from: Isle of Fiji, the Jamaica Vintage 2017 and Xaymaca Special Dry from Jamaica, and the Three Stars white blend.

For cocktails there is O.F.T.D., a punchy overproof dark blend, alongside Original Dark and the Sealander.
