Kyrö Distillery

Kyrö Distillery began with five friends in a sauna, drinking American rye whiskey and wondering why Finland, a country full of rye, had almost no rye whisky. They founded the company in 2012 in Isokyrö, in a 1908 cheese factory on the Kyrö River.

Every Kyrö spirit is made from 100% Finnish whole-grain rye. The gin came first and helped pay for the long wait for whisky: the Malt Rye Whisky was released in 2020. We also stock the Oloroso, Peat Smoke and Wood Smoke rye whiskies.

From the same rye come Kyrö Gin, which won Best Gin for Gin & Tonic at the 2015 IWSC under its old name Napue, Kyrö Pink Gin and Kyrö Vodka.
