Collection: Nakayu Shuzōten (Tenjo Mugen)

Nakayu Shuzōten has brewed sake since 1906 in Kami, Miyagi, at the foot of the Ou mountains, and is now led by Takafumi Nakajima, the fifth generation. It washes its local rice by hand, steams it in traditional direct-fire pots, and uses soft underground water from near the Naruse River.

Its brand Tenjo Mugen, "heavenly dream", was named about 50 years ago when a painter tasted a prototype on a mountain top. We stock the Junmai Ginjo, the cloudy Junmai Ginjo Nigori, the Tokubetsu Junmai Umakuchi and the Date na Yuzu Umeshu.

Find Tenjo Mugen in our shop on the Vismarkt in Utrecht, or order online.
