Pampero

Pampero has made rum in Venezuela since 1938, when Alejandro Hernández founded the company in Caracas. The rums are distilled and aged at the Complejo Licorero del Centro in Ocumare, Miranda state. In 2024 the brand moved from Diageo to the Italian Gruppo Montenegro.

Pampero rums are aged in oak casks in the Venezuelan heat, which gives them their golden colour and a round, warming style. The Añejo Especial is a blend of dark rums for sipping or mixing, the Selección Añejo is the easy-going everyday pour, and the Aniversario, presented in its brown leather pouch, is the house's richest blend, made for slow sipping.
