Collection: Pineau des Charentes & Fruit Wines

Pineau des Charentes, the Cognac region's blend of grape must and young cognac, plus classic ginger wine.

Pineau des Charentes is a mistelle from the Cognac region: fresh grape must is blended with young cognac before it can ferment, then aged in oak. The result is sweet, fruity and rounded, with notes of honey, dried fruit and vanilla. It is a much-loved aperitif in western France.

Try Château de Montifaud Vieux Pineau in blanc and rouge, and Giboin Pineau Blanc Vieille Réserve and Rosé Primeur, plus Crabbie's classic ginger wine. Serve pineau chilled as an aperitif or with melon, foie gras or fruit desserts; ginger wine is great neat, in a Whisky Mac or warmed in winter.
