Ondineke Tripel by Brouwerij De Glazen Toren
Named after Ondine — the water nymph protagonist of Louis Paul Boon's novel De Kapellekensbaan — Ondineke is an unfiltered golden blond Belgian Tripel of rare elegance. Brewed without spices and hopped exclusively with Hallertau Mittelfrüh, the only hop variety still grown in Aalst, this is a beer with deep local roots and a storied history.
The official city beer of Aalst, served at official city receptions. At 8.5% ABV it is rich and complex yet deceptively smooth — think ripe stone fruit, floral honey, soft spice, and a long, warming finish.
