Poire Prisonnière is Maison Louis Roque's Williams pear eau-de-vie with a whole pear grown inside the carafe. In early spring the glass carafe is placed around a young pear on the tree; the fruit ripens inside it over the summer, and after the harvest the carafe is filled with Williams pear eau-de-vie.
